This page is an example of a typical meeting agenda for VIP Online Toastmasters

3:00-3:30pm: Zoom Master opens the meeting room


Please login 20-30 minutes before the meeting starts to sort out any technical or role assignment issues. Meeting content starts promptly at 3:30 pm.

3:30-3:35: President Calls Meeting to Order


  1. Welcomes and introduces guests
  2. Describes the purpose of VIP Online Toastmasters (VIP Online Toastmasters strives to make the Toastmasters' club experience easily accessible to visually impaired persons. Our goal is to help you empower yourself, so you may achieve your personal goals.)
  3. Invites the Humorist to "crack the ice"
  4. Asks for successful moments
  5. Introduces Toastmaster for the meeting

3:35-3:38pm: Toastmaster


1. Announces theme for the evening and expands on theme (1-2 minutes)
2. Introduces General Evaluator for the meeting

3:38-3:43pm: General Evaluator


1. Explains what the General Evaluator does
2. Assigns Functionaries (if not already assigned):

  • Speech Evaluators
  • Timer
  • Ah-Counter
  • Grammarian/Wordsmith

3. Asks each member of the TAG Team (Timer, Ah-Counter, Grammarian/Wordsmith) to explain their role. The Grammarian/Wordsmith also introduces the word of the day with its definition and uses it in a sentence or two.

  1. Keeps the time of each speaking role and reports times

Ah-Counter


  1. Counts "ah","um", and other verbal pauses

Grammarian/Wordsmith


  1. Keeps track of incorrect and particularly good uses of grammar. Acknowledges members who used the word of the day.

3:43pm: General Evaluator Returns Virtual Lectern to Toastmaster


3:43pm: Toastmaster Conducts Speakers Portion of the Agenda


1. Introduces Speaker
2. Thanks Speaker
3. Invites attendees to send comments to Speaker
4. Repeat as necessary until all speeches are made

3:43-3:51pm: Speaker #1


  1. Gives first speech of the evening.

3:51-3:59pm: Speaker #2


  1. Gives second speech of the evening.

3:59-4:07pm: Speaker #3


  1. Gives third speech of the evening.

4:07pm: Toastmaster Introduces the Table Topics Master


4:07-4:25pm: Table TopicsMaster Conducts Table Topics


1.Briefly explains the nature and purpose of Table Topics.
2. Calls upon several members to deliver 1-2 minute impromptu talks on a topic announced right before the member is chosen.
3. Concludes Table Topics by returning the virtual lectern to Toastmaster

4:25pm: Toastmaster Introduces General Evaluator


4:25-4:26pm: General Evaluator Conducts Speech Evaluations Segment


1. Briefly explains the purpose of Speech Evaluations
2. Introduces Speech Evaluator
3. Thanks Speech Evaluator
4. Repeats steps 2 & 3 as necessary until all speech evaluations are made

4:26-4:30pm: Evaluator #1


  1. Evaluates Speaker #1

4:30-4:34pm: Evaluator #2


  1. Evaluates Speaker #2


4:34-4:38pm: Evaluator #3


  1. Evaluates Speaker #3

4:38-4:49pm:General Evaluator Wrap-Up


1. Asks for the Timer's Report (4:38-4:40pm)
2. Asks for the Ah-Counter's Report (4:40-4:42pm)
3. Asks for the Grammarian's Report (4:42-4:44pm)
4. Makes general evaluation of the meeting (positive points & things to be improved) (4:44-4:49pm)

4:49pm: General Evaluator Returns Virtual Lectern to Toastmaster


4:49-4:50pm: Toastmaster Concludes the meeting & Introduces the Club President


1. Thanks members & guests for attending
2. Introduces the Club President who conducts any General Business.

4:50-5:00pm: President Conducts General Business Meeting


  1. Conduct any club general business
  2. Briefs the club on current Toastmaster events
  3. Has the Vice President of Education
  4. Fill meeting roles for upcoming meetings
  5. Announce Education milestones

5:00pm: President Adjourns the Formal Meeting


  1. Officially adjourn the Meeting
  2. Invite attendees to stay for open mic social.
  3. Turn the proceedings over to the Zoom Master

5:00-5:30pm: Zoom Master hosts Open Mic Social


  1. Keeps Zoom meeting room open for members to socialize.
  2. Closes Zoom meeting room.
